This literary candle is inspired by the first edition of Dracula, published in 1897 by Archibald Constable and Company in London, and priced at 6 shillings. 1897 was a good year for vampires. Philip Burne-Jones's painting "The Vampire" was exhibited for the first time and caused a sensation. Rudyard Kipling, inspired by Burne-Jones painting, wrote a poem, also called The Vampire. And finally, Bram Stoker's iconic novel, Dracula, was presented to the public.
